Information we collect

Chambers collects account details you provide, such as your name, email address, professional information, and files or notes you add to the service. We also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

Google account data

If you choose to connect a Google account, Chambers will request only the permissions shown on Google's consent screen. We request your name, email address and profile to create and sign you in to your account, and the Google Calendar scope calendar.events.owned solely to create and update the reminder events you ask Chambers to add to your own calendar.

We do not read, list, or delete any other events on your calendars, and we do not access any calendar other than your primary calendar. We store only the identifier and link of events Chambers itself created, so that it can keep their invitee lists up to date.

Chambers' use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide or secure the service, to comply with applicable law, or with your explicit consent.

How information is used

We use information to provide document management, collaboration, search, calendar, account support, security, and related Chambers features. Access is limited to users and service providers who need it to operate the service.

Search and Ask AI

Chambers keeps a record of the searches and Ask AI questions you run: the question, the answer Ask AI gave, the matter or document it was asked about, who asked it, and the date and time. This record is what lets you reopen a past question and read the answer you were given.

This history is shared with your workspace: every member can see the questions asked in it, who asked them, and the answers given. Ask AI answers from the documents the whole workspace can already open, so a shared answer cites nothing a colleague could not otherwise read. Treat a question you type as visible to your colleagues.

These records are kept indefinitely. You may ask us to delete them, subject to applicable legal and professional-retention requirements.

To answer a question, Ask AI sends that question and the relevant excerpts from documents already visible to you to OpenAI, which processes the request as our service provider and is instructed not to retain it. Your documents are not used to train generalised artificial intelligence models.

Storage and sharing

Your content may be stored with infrastructure providers used to operate Chambers. We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service, or when you explicitly share content with another person.

Your choices

You may disconnect Google access from your Google Account settings. You may also ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your account information, subject to applicable legal and professional-retention requirements.
